A small story of my own:

I have been an empty nester once before, many years ago. 16 years go to be exact Then my world turned upside down and here I was with a newborn. 42 years of age with a 55 year old husband starting all over. A HUGE blessing. BUT, now what? This is how I welcomed each day. A new day of diapers, swings, car seats, strollers and huge carry bags full of bottles, and teething toys. WOW. I had forgot how much stuff a baby mama needs to tote around. Not to mention how much stuff it takes to furnish a nursery.

Now my my girl is 16 years old and ready to launch herself out of my realm. All I need now is a great auto insurance policy and a safe 2nd car on hand. I am so proud of her at times I could just howl at the moon! And believe me I do. She is my beakon of light in this complicated world. Yes, Veyah I am writing about you.

After raising two girls I am ready to dive deep into the abys of what my clients are all asking me for, the new normal.....

What is that?

Well given the current RE climate and how we must all look forward to the crazy unknowns this nation is throwing at us on a daily basis, I think we all need to consider the old world ways. What do I mean? Well, we must all stick together. Families, friends and colleagues so that we all have a place to flourish, thrive and help one another. Like, the good old times....

So that leads me on to the 'Tiny Home" interest that has been flooding my in box. I will never dismiss the Tiny Home Communities but I also embrace the Small Homes as well. Like homes in the 800-1200 sq ft size. My incredible in-laws had a home in the outskirts of Boston, MA. Raised 3 kids in a 1200 sq ft rancher with 3 bedrooms and 1 bathroom. They all fared rather well!

We don't all need McMansions.

I started out my venture in Interior design with a mentor from Napa, CA named Linda Legg. She was a master in designing small home interiors focused on Mobile Homes. She had the storage and furnishings for small spaces dialed in. She taught me so much regarding how to style, manage and furnish small spaces. Spacial details were her gift. She shared all she knew. Thanks Linda!

As I moved forward in my career I encountered an Architect and Design Guru, Mr. Hideo Tanai. He has since become agreat friend and mentor over the past decade and is a master at detailed design and Japanese interiors. He has taught me how to create with intent and to stay focused on nature. Hideo has been a wonderful guiding light to both mysel, my family as well as my clientiele. His firm has been a grand master for our tiny home communities.

Intention is our platform. If our client is asking for a tiny home dwelling of the grid, we know how to accomidate the needs. If we have an empty nester looking how to upgrade a their current dwelling with a new style of living, we got that too.

What our firm is not: We are not another builder or designer looking to purchase a small lot, put a huge home on it and do it over and over again without the respect of nature. We are a group of like minded souls offering our gifts, our know how and our love for this planet. We are not going to work with you if you are looking to build a huge mcmantion on a postage size lot in a city that already has multiple builders that are already doing that. NO. We are not about that. If you are looking to build a elegant home that honors and respecst our planet, we are here for you.

Take 2 haus is dedicated to creating homes that respect our earth, wants the best for all humanity as well as our planet. We are dedicated to building communities of like minded souls that want to preserve our planet and give back.
